    Trigger rod tuning

Here is my problem. My trigger rod has never been touched. The stock frame has been on the gun since 95 and it is stuck in place. But I got a y frame so the trigger rod now needs to be moved. I have boiled it, burned it and forced it(as much as possible with out hurting the sear assy. How do I get this thing off.

Why would you need to adjust the trigger rod?

They can be a huge pain to turn. I used a vice and some robogrip plier. The rod is kind of scratched now, but it still works fine.

If you have a gas stove set it on low, heat the trigger rod until smoke appears to come from the rod assy, it should then twist off with using light force from a set of pliers or vice grips. If you let it cool it may be hard to twist loose.

Well, I used it and it shot fine. I guess that I will leave it how it is.
