Xmag solenoid not firing gun consitently

I have this weird problem with my xmag. When put in e-mode, the solenoid works but the gun does'nt fire the first shot, sometimes more. The solenoid is actived because it clicks, but somehow the marker won't fire for the first shot, or sometimes i have to pull the trigger multiple times before the marker fires. If it fires, it will fire ok until i stop shooting for a minute or so. It has been doing the first shot dud for a while, but after today it seems to be getting worse.

The battery was fully charged the evening before i packed my stuff, and i also run a warp with interface cable.

I'm not sure what the problem is, so any help from the experts would be greatly appriciated.

Looks like i've not been searching hard enough...

This is the forum for trouble shooting your Airgun Designs products, including the Automag, RT, E-Mag, and WarpFeed. Also a great place to ask technical questions about non AGD products. An Airsmith's homeroom!

I'll have a look at it first thing tomorrow. Nothing worse than having the perfect shot lined up and your marker refuses to fire, causing me to miss the opertunity.

I had this same problem before.
It works perfectly in mech mode, too, doesn't it?

Check the alignment of your sear and plunger. They have to be perfectly in-line.
If it's off or bent just the slightest bit, the sear can bind. It sounds dumb, but that's the likely culprit.

Just take it apart and bend the plunger rod *by hand* so that the plunger is perfectly in-line with the sear. Be careful putting it back together, too, so you don't knock it back out of alignment.

      Good luck!

After: "Crap! It's that guy with the pump!"

Hmmmm Sounds like the carrier is too tight. Try to use the loosest that dosent leak. Rember when you add or subtract shims it affects the carrier o-ring tightness..

After taking my gun apart i noticed the noid and plunger are ok, and the bolt sticks a little when removing it. If i put it on and off fast like it was shooting rapidly, there is no stick at all. I also think the problem lies with the carrier and i'm gonna fix it as soon as i have the parts in. (my mag didn't came with extra carriers/shims)

I'll post an update if retuning the lvl10 did solve the problem!

            Ok, it's fixed!!!

I removed the power tube tip, that was tightened so secure the stem it screws into, unscrewed from the valve.. I knew this problem because i tried to remove the tip before. After trying to grip it with a plier and a paper hanky in between to prevent damage it would still not unscrew, so i cut a strip of rubber from an old RC car tyre, and that did the trick eventually.

My goal was finding out what type of carrier i had, but after seaching the net i could'nt find it... Been working all day, and maybe i looked over it due to fatigue... Well, i just started to fiddle around with the bits that came out of the valve and put the carrier over the bolt part it usually goes... Hmm... that power tube o-ring squieeks a bit and has alot of friction... What if that RT parts kit i have laying around has a o-ring like that?

Replaced the ring, lubed it, installed everyting and gassed up the marker, and whattayaknow.. The first shot dud thing is gone!

Maybe the o-ring dried out because the previous owner had this marker in storage and sold it to me while it had'nt been used in a while. Because did lube it, there is a maybe a possibility the o-ring had swollen up due to the renewed lubrication... Just a thought tho... don't know for sure. Maybe the oil i'm using could cause the problem. Since i cannot get any autolube over here unless i import it, i use Empire marker oil for blowback markers. I guess it would not make any difference, but i could be wrong...
