I'm getting it along with a parts automag for a trade. I've never owned an automag before so I was wondering what it was? A barrel adaptor or is it something that they all have and I just didn't know about?

It's nothing you should bother keeping... I'll take it for $5 shipped.
Yes it's a barrel adaptor. Most likely cocker threaded.
Put it in your stock mag body and use cocker thread barrels. -

Good, that's what I thought.
At first glance (I've never built an Automag before only A/C) I thought it was some variety of threading for attaching the valve or something. After some research I found out that the valve is attached via thumb screw. So of course I naturally was hoping it was some variety of barrel adaptor. Did Doc Nickel make these, or is this a different aftermarket adaptor?
How much do these generally run now? Honesty is a virtue
No plans on selling it right now, but maybe in the future.
