    X-Valve Rebuild Questions

A while ago I was going through all my gear and giving everything a thorough cleaning for the season. I had never taken apart my X-valve regulator so I thought I would check it out. When I disasembled the reg the two springs had a lot of brown, sticky grease all over them. Also the reg nut threads had silver stuff on it which I assume is anti-seize. I want to make sure everything in my valve is clean and in perfect condition so that I can get my mag consistent again. What should I look for when inspecting the internals? What are the common parts/o-rings to replace each year? Should I clean off all that brown grease on the springs or is that supposed to be there? If so what sort of grease is it? Should I apply fresh anti-sease to the threads? I know this is a lot of questions but I just want to make sure my mag operates flawlessly. I'm hoping there is an x-valve/regulator expert out there who can help me out. Thanks.

Leave the grease and the antiseize where it is. No need to change this stuff. Pop in an oring kit and you should be good to go.
