    Pure Energy HP Reg

I would like to increase the output pressure of my Pure Energy 68/4500 HP Tank. I found a 'Service & Rebuild Procedure' for the reg and wondered if it was possible to increase the output pressure on the reg by adding shims to the 'Belleville Springs'.

    Has anyone done this?

Just got word from PMI about their HP Tanks:

"The maximum out-put pressure of our tanks is between 850 and 875psi the regulator will vent out of the 1.8k rupture disk if the pressure rises above this."

couldnt you replace the 1.8k rupture disc with a 3k rupture disc? Then add shims to your hearts content. I am not sure if this will work, but it might.

If I add shims to the Belleville Spring... would it increase the output pressure? how much do I shim to increase the output 50~100psi?
