Level 1 through 4 were prototypes called the Panther. The earliest known mags were level 5.

Level 5 had a stationary breach and a twistlock barrel. The powertube was held in place by a spring clip.

Level 6 moved to a twistlock barrel with a built in breach.

Level 7 moved to a screw-in powertube assembly (factory glued) that is not meant to be removed. The powerfeed was also introduced on the level 7 mags.

Level 8 - 9 does not exist. Many refer to the RT/retro valve and emag as level 8 and 9.

Level 10 provided the two stage bolt.

I think this is somewhat accurate but I may be a little off on some of my info. Anyone have anything to add?
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

What will level 11 look like? or is thier going to be one? Mabe the bolt will be totally delrin or something, kind of like the delrin superbolt, but completely delrin. But then it would get worn down by the spring. I think it should look like the 32 degrees automag venturi bolt:

        wicked sweet.
