AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
is this possible?
and would there be good alternatives for the noid and board?
wondering if its possible to just make my own?
I know the eblade noids are very close to the HF noids. There are a few board options. Someone else may be able to fill you in on these. The new micro morlock universal board if they ever come out would be an option.
So you're planning on making your own? Why not just get a HF and replace the board?
Eblades are bigger and heavier then a HF and the noid is up and down so you'd have to do a lot of milling and work on it. I've thought about it and did my home work and it's not really worth it in the long run. If you have tons of funds and time then go for it. Would love to see an Eblade on a mag. Better yet I'd love to see an Ego or DM6 UL frame on a mag, but that would take some work.
Basically the board in a HF is like those in a spyder electric frame cause all it's doing is activating a noid just like a lot of other boards out there. I'm sure you could get any number of boards to work with the right settings, but then again why? I just had a morlock board installed in my mag's hyperframe and it rips cause it was set up right. Cost me a few bucks, but it was worth it. If you just don't like the look of the HF then maybe you could find a spyder frame you like and put a ramping board in it. Maybe you could buy that Eblade and sell it to fund a spydermag or nice hyperframe. Just a thought.
Like I said with enough work you could get an eblade mag. One guy did it, but it was more of a MQ valved mag and only really had the body of a mag.
The spyder frame is almost exactly like a hypermag. Do a search for spydermags in this forum and you'll find more then enough info on them. Lots of people have made them. It's pretty easy and LUKE in the dealer's forum does the whole conversion for pretty cheap.
I have a hyper frame on a micromag need some pics. if so give me your email I can send them to ya my email is [email protected] if certain pics needed specify.
well not at the moment since due to the holiday season and my homelessness leaves me quite busy, maybe when the semester starts and thngs slow down ill have more free time.....how weird is that
