    Stripped threads on a mainbody?

I accidentally stripped the threads on the screwhole that holds my warp ULE body to my rail, does anybody know if there is a way to exchange or repair this, or will I have to buy a whole new body now?

You will most likely need to use a screw with a larger thread size. The body can be re-threaded with a larger thread size. Any machine shop should be able to do this for you.

You can use a 10/32 Helicoil kit found at most hardware stores.

      Learn how here: http://www.toolsnextday.ltd.uk/Helic...coil_usage.htm

Just make shure everything is straight and level. If your not comfortable with doing it any machine shop could do it for about 10-15 dollars...

dont use a heli coil use a nut-sert. heli coils do not hold as well since you are putting a round piece of wire in to triangular groves so it will not hold as well and the nut-sert which threads into the body liek it was a screw.

i am not sure if there will be enough room on that part to use a nut-sert now that i think about it bbut the heli coil is not the best option IMHO

Thanks for the input everyone. I think i'll go to a machine shop, I don't want to screw the body up any more than it already is with my inept fumbling.
