Stupid feedneck...

I just got a new one and I want to put it on. I tried just using padding and a wrench as well as heating it up and un screwing it. No dice. It's worked on my Evo. Now my feedneck is scratched up so if I don't like the other one, it will look crap if I put it back on... Help please?
