    Newbie ?

OK I installed the level 10 bolt. I am pretty sure I have it set right, no evident leaks etc.

    2 things though

    1) I put a squeege rod in the bolt area and triggered it the bolt did not just stop as it advertises it does? it actually launched the rod.

    2) I can already tell it is not chopping balls. I filled 2 hoppers and fired pretty much as fast as I could, the only issue I am having is maybe every 25-30 shots the gun stalls for a second, it seems like it is recharging the air or something. On the flip side. I swear it seemed like when I took the bolt off the valve to recheck everything an old o-ring came out of the valve? Is that possible? I checked th on off valve and the o-rings are still there, The o-ring is the same size as the one that goes in the bolt. But that one was still there.

I figured I would try posting here first. If worse comes to worse I will just drive over to AGD as they are not to far from me.

    1. Did you hold the squeege in place? That's the way to test it.

    2. When the gun 'stalls' is there a quick hiss of air then you're able to play again? If so, that's just the level 10 resetting itself. It will stop on the ball and empty the chamber then recock and let the ball go completely into the breech.

Yeah I held it in place , I was holding it lightly at first and it blew right out of my hand. the 2nd time i held it tighter and it still blew out. I did not want to put a death grip on it as I did not want to potentially damage the bolt.

yes it does give a little hiss, so I am assuming that is normal then? if there anyway to perhaps avoid this?

When you hold the queegie in front of the bolt, it has to be against the bolt face. If it is more than 1/4" in front of the bolt, it will get hit with full impact force as if there were no level 10 at all.

The stalling you are experiencing is either a misfire due to a ball not completely in the breach when the gun is fired (level 10 doing its job), or you may have a carrier that is one size too tight. Anything less than a HALO can cause the odd misfire due to balls not getting in the breach fast enough.

Make sure you do all your level 10 tuning without any shims installed.

The oring that came out may be an old powertube oring that accidently got pushed into the chamber. It eventually found its way out.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

cool thanks, I will try the squeegie thing again. I don't think I had it resting on it. good tip.

I was also thinking of a Halo set up. I will give it a whirl. Thanks AThomas. I am pretty sure I got the carrier set up correct.

            Body Dependent

If you have a ULE body just stick a squeegie directly in the feedneck and shoot. This should engage the level 10. If it is a SS body you can still stick the squeegie down the center it is just a little harder to accomplish. Either way it is much easier to test your level 10 as if it were in a game situation via squeegie through the feedneck. Putting it in the body and resting it on the bolt is not so easy depending on the pressure you are placing on the bolt. Hope that helps
