Feed Tube w/ ULE Centerfeed?

    Feed Tube w/ ULE Centerfeed?

    Does anyone know of a good method to take off the feed tube for the ULE Centerfeed? Ive tried pretty much everything and dont want to scratch it.

        If your replacing it just scratch it.

        or use a nepreme (sp) peice of clothing and a vice if you dont want scratching

          towel and pliers or if your going 2-replace it , drill a 3/4'' hole thruogh the feedneck & stick a screwdriver through the hole & turn it 2-the LEFT ......

            Here's the best way I've found so far: get a wide and thick nylon strap and use a vice wrench on it. Works wonderfully.

              The strap wrenches work great in most cases but I do find they slip on items that are smooth/or extremely tight. in those cases I wrap the item with the strap wrenches thick rubber and clamp a vise grip on it, and voila!

                Yeah, I got too impatient, used old rags and a vise grip wrench......


                Scratched it.

                Oh well, I never put to orginal feedneck back on anyway!

                  if you heat it up the loctite normaly will melt so it won be sealing it as well but o well a little to late i guess
