prblems with pmi bottle and mag

ok, iv just got a new magsmith paradigm pro and tried it with my 1.5ltr hp pure energy bottle the other day and it seems not to be working properly, when you fire fast it seems not to be recharging the valve up (xvalve) quick enough BUT when we screwed a crossfire hp bottle in it ran fine, we then tried another pmi hp bottle and it did the same?

i then screwed the pure energy (pmi) bottle in to my briothers FS8 and it ran fine shooting the gun very fast indeed ?

any help would be appriciated as we came to the conclusion that the pmi pure energy bottle wasnt recharging the xvalve at a fast enough rate and id probally have to sell it and get a crossfire, is this correct ?

    cheers
    luke :)

yep, my friend ahd that problem with a PE tank om his mag and i had trouble on my pump with it recharging when i got the tank to 1000k (and the stab on my gun was out puttign 220 so its not liek my gun needed 800 to work)

PE seems to have bad recharge rates but not nesecarly consistantly bad (some people have good luck and can use them fine but ive never had good luck with the tanks)

There could be a slight difference in the length of the ASA pin depresser as well which could cause your problems. If the pin doesn't get pushed in far enough or gets pushed in too far, it could restrict the air flow.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

          hmmm liters, crazy european

1.1 comes out to what a 45ci tank right?

good choice on teh CF, that was teh first tank i got and ive never had problems with it and i have never heard any complaints about teh system other than the fact that it is not thhe lightest reg onn the market.

hmmm... I've used a PE 68/3000 on my mag for the past 3 years and never had a problem, I guess they could be inconsistent from tank to tank like matt said

^^ ya i did notice there was a lot of inconsistancy. i worked at a field for almsot 2 years and saw numerous PMI tanks come is with random leaks, i also saw a some peopel who liked the tanks (but from the amouts that liked it vs those that had problems the problems out weigh the lucky ones.

from all my personal experances i have not had good luck with the (even a pretty new one couldnt recharge when it got down near its out put psi)

my personal preferance on tank regs are crossfires or gurellia (gurellia are uber light and small, lighter than crossy and shorter than a pmi)

I have 3 PMI tanks with two different reg styles and they all work fine. A couple suffered from leaks when they were new. One was sent back under warrantee when it was new. It still leaked after it returned so I fixed it myself. I fixed the 2nd one myself as well. None have leaked since. That was several years ago now. The problem with PMI tanks, is the cheap orings they use in the regs. If you take the regulators apart and replace the urethane orings with good quality ones, they work fine.

I have never had a recharge problem using a pmi bottle on my emag using ramping.

used the crossfire today for the first time, and it works flawlessly, no recharge problems while shooting fast at all, shame as i wanted to keep the pmi 1.5ltr (88cu) bottle, but the problem would of only got worse when my modiefied sear arrives from lukes customs.

                  cheers
