Plastic nubbins ....I have a problem

Just tried out the plastic nubbins yesterday for the first time and things didn't go as planned. I was shooting 32 degrees team colors and it was fitting my Lapco Big shot pretty well. The problem is that the nubbins don't stick far enough into the barrel to do much of anything. I put a ball into the barrel and it went right past the nubbin like it wasn't there, Add the force of my warp after every trigger pull and you have chop city. With the metal nubbins you could bend them in a little but with the plastic ones I can't think of a way to get enough nubbin in there to be effective. I was thinking of trying to build the little bump on the back of the nubbins up with a little epoxy but I thought it might be better get some suggestions from you folks first. Any suggestions are appreciated.

your idea should work.... i know when i got mine i had to sand a little off that bump cuz they were in a little to far and clip a little off the edges to fit the groove on my JnJ

Hmm that's weird because I own a Bigshot as well and had to shave a little off.
