What works better with a blowback?

I am doing a spyder project and want to know what will feed faster, a vertical feed or powerfeed body?

    Edit: # 100, yeah.

The difference is probally negilable due to the fact that the gun will top out before the hopper.

      A center-feed will feed fastest.

Is there really a HUGE disavantage to blowbacks? What is the fastest a hopper could feed it?

Nothing wrong with blowbacks. They just tend to have a heavier kick than most of todays guns. They never bothered me none.
Autocockers are the greatest markers ever made.

            ^^ me either

To stay on topic if you are using a force feed type of hopper the feed rate will be that of the hopper. If you are using an agaited hopper revy, turbo, etc... then the fastest you will get is about 13 BPS ... this has something to do with the fact that that is the fastest the balls will fall with only gravity. (someone researched this if I can find the link ill post it)

One advantage with the power feed is that you have extra capacity for a couple of more balls between the chamber and hopper.

But doesn't the blowback from the marker slows down the rate the hopper is feeding? Ti is blowing them back up.

that's why they designed the powerfeed... to keep that from happening ... If i remember correctly AGD designed the powerfeed ... ill try and find the link where i read this

actualy spyders have a suction on the feed tube, liek you would have with "suction timing" on a cocker, put a piece of tissue over the feed neck and fire, the tissue will most likely get sucked down.
