I have an older 47/3000 Crossfire tank that is leaking out of the fill nipple. Not around it, out of the end. Is fixing this as simple as unscrewing the old one and replacing it with a new one? Is there anything else i should know about before i try and fix it? (I've never done anything with repairing air tanks or regulators, so I don't really know where to begin.) thanks.

The person that filled it probly had dirt in the gas line...you can just unscrew that with a 7/16" wrench and replace it with a new one. Just remember to teflon tape the new fill port. Good luck to you. -
Or replace the oring in it. Why buy a whole new fill nipple?Originally posted by FA22RaptorF22The person that filled it probly had dirt in the gas line...you can just unscrew that with a 7/16" wrench and replace it with a new one. Just remember to teflon tape the new fill port. Good luck to you.
Its a urethane 005 I believe, maybe 006.Comment

^^ yes...but for the average people...if you get the wrong oring...it leads to severe problems...Comment
