    New to the Automag World

    Hello Everyone,

I just picked up a classic 68automag and I had a few questions. This had been my dream gun since I started paintballing 12 years ago and now I can finally afford to make it the gun I want.

Here are my plans and I would appreciate any input you guys can give me.

    First upgrade: X valve w/lvl 10 upgrade
Question: Do I need to use an expansion chamber with NO2? If so, do I have to get a new frame rail to replace the fore grip with an expansion chamber?

Second upgrade: Intelliframe or hyperframe (or some kind of e-trigger)
Question: Electronic trigger or manual trigger? Whats your opinion?

I have doing a lot of reading here on the forums and I have learned a lot, but I know there is a lot more out there. I appreciate all the advise.

N2 or HPA no need for a Expansion chamber. Second if you want a Pneu Frame then go with Intelli, Electro Hyperframe but the best of both worlds go with E mag lowers.

I have read something about this. Can you explain it to me a little more?

Emag lowers let you have everything that electro's have to offer but they can be switched into mech which act just like any another mech mod. I don't know the spec of the electro side but I know they are worth it.

          Let me get this straight

So all I have to do is buy the lower part of the E mag and I am good to go? When you day the lower, do you mean just the e-handle portion or the lower rail down?

"lowers" normaly refffer to the rail down (some people jsut mean the frame and battery pack but to me i think of it as rail down). you need the trigger frame and battery pack together since it uses a special battery. ya pretty much its a bolt on and go, you might need to adjust a little bit depending on how everythign matches up

              Any ideas

Any idea where I can pick up an Emag trigger frame? I looked on airgun.com and I didn't see just the trigger frame for sale. If you know of any links, it would help out a lot.

12 years experience and you dont know this? as if
you dont have to lie on this forum, its one of the only ones on the internet that wont badger you for being new here. so feel free to ask questions and everyone here will try to help

that being said u will not need an exp chamber for n2. and if you have the money id recomend buying an intellie fram then pnuemag it following the tutorial on the workshop forum, if not id get a y frame. i dont know for sure but someone once told me not to get a hyperframe anymore, they are long out of production and its hard to find one with out heavy use, i dont know that for sure thats just what someone told me once before

                i hope that helps

My paintball days started back with a Taso Pump gun, 12 gram CO2, and 10 ball tubes. I have played on and off for the last 12 years, but never to the level I wanted to play. My last 2 years of play have been with a Model 98 that I have customized myself. NO2/HPA is a new animal for me. I do appreciate the help, but I would also appreciate it if I wasn't called a liar!!

Ok, now that I got that off my chest....thanks for the info. Is there anything special about the Intell? I mean from what I have read so far, it looks like just a double trigger frame made by AGD. I mean it looks nice and all, but is there anything that makes it better than any other double trigger that I could find to mount up to my frame?

Thanks again for the info and sorry if I snapped at you, but I don't make it a practice to lie and therefore don't like to be called a liar.

I messed up in that PM I sent. Emag Lower's Valves that can be used are the RT retro, Emag, or X valve. Sry. But I got to say this if your looking at Jumping into a Emag/hyper/whatever frame take it easy. As your first mag (learn to crawl before walk) just stay with the frame you got for a while, and then upgrade/Mod/learn what you can do. The Mag valve is a Beautiful powerplant valve and you can do alot with the rest of it.

Can someone help me put some more sense in this by telling him the difference between Manaul/Pneu Frame/Electro/Emag lowers.

manual-trigger directly pushes agaisnt the trigger rod firing the gun

pneu- user activates a 3way with the trigger thus activating a ram to push trigger rod

emag- user puses trigger to activate microswitch which inturn activates a selenoid to push trigger rod (standard emags have electro, hybid and manual modes)

now the double trigger frame, AGD's intelli frame is very good, most people seem to prefer it over a benchmark because the inteli has a crisper pull and less side play. there are other after market frames but most of those are more vertical angels and are personal preferances (the UMF my logic is nice but the one my friend has seems to have a few isses with the trigger rod not always staying aligned.

trigger frames are going to end up jsut being your perferance.

Farmer just becasue hes played for 12 years doesnt mean he should know about HPA automaticaly, i havent seen them come out with hpa 12ies that you can use and even if they did not many people use expansion chambers with an air source that could literaly fit inside the chamber.
