    heavy barrel for counter weight

is a smart parts teardrop heavier than a ss lapco bigshot?...what would you suggest for a good quality heavy barrel to counterbalance a 68 3000 steel nitro tank? i believe the tank weighs 5 lbs

Just get the barrel you like more and then get a drop forward to even it out.

The SP is aluminum and the Lapco is SS.... SS is a much heavier metal.

I use a 14" J&J SS barrel w/ a steel tank. The tank is on a 3" drop and the gun feels nicely balenced.

I use a Dye 14" SS It balances a 20 oz anti-syphon without a drop foward pretty well it also shoots dead straight so i would suggest that.
