Need more help with used RT pro

Thanks to all those who posted to my thread. Nothing helped but I didn't try the dremel yet.

    anyway

    Here's the problem:

I went to play @ the field today and after gasing it up it started venting out the regulater and no matter how much I adjusted it, it was still venting. Any suggestions? Also, the gun shoots fine without any paint but if I put some paint in it, I will get an air leak and loose pressure in the trigger after the 4th or 5th shot. The only way to stop it is to ungas and re-gas the gun. FYI, I have an RT bolt with lvl 10.

You may have an older regulator piston. Might need to change that. Try to change the oring on it first. Dirt on the reg seat oring can cause a leak too...

Ok, now I was assuming that the the problems were interrelated so I didn't post it in the original post but when I was at the field I couldn't get the gun to shoot beneath 300 FPS ( field requires guns to be chronoed at 290). Will fixing the regulater venting issue also fix this?

What spring are you using? Gold, Red, or Silver?

Then Tuna's probably right, if you were using a higher tension spring it would be suspect for overpressurizing. But since you are using the stock gold spring I would suggest you get ahold of a parts kit and replace that reg piston o ring and or the reg piston itself.
