i have a 6 AA pack for my Halo...I want to create a 2 9v Battery mod. I know its a simple mod but, I just don't know which cable goes where...can someone do a quick write up or just a picture of the wires being connected...

    Thanks In Advanced!!!

**mod's, Sorry if this thread is in the wrong place...Please feel free to move this thread if needed**

      OK here you go

Buy 3 - 9volt connectors with wire to spare.

Take connector 1 and connector 2 and solder the red wires together and the solder the black wires together.

Now Connector 1 and 2 are soldered take the 3rd connector and solder the black wire to the red wires form connector 1 and 2
Then solder the black wire from connector 3 to the red wires from connector 1 and 2.

Use connector 3 to hook up to the halo/reloader. Connector 1 and 2 to the 9 volt batts

Its really simple to do but a pain to try and explain by typing.
      Hope this helps

Step 1: Go to radioshack or another shop that sells electronic components and get 3 9v connectors.
Step 2: Take 2 connectors and strip both black and red wires at the end at about 1/2" Twist each pair together, matching color.
Step 3: Solder them together and cut to about 1/4" length of bare soldered wire.
Step 4: Strip the 3rd connector to about 1/4" length, twist the small wires so they become one nice big one and add some solder to them.
Step 5: Cut some shrink tubing that will fit over 2 bundled wires. Cut about 3/4" length pieces, 3 total.
Step 6: Move the shrink tubing around the wires, one on the bundled red pair, one over the bundled black pair, and the last one over both wires from the third connector. Move them far enough up so they are out of the way when soldering (when the wire becomes warm it will shrink the tubing and you're screwed if they are too close)
Step 7: Solder the joined pair of connectors to the third connector in opposite colors, so black will go on red, and visa versa.
Step 8: shove the shrink tubing over the soldering joints (the ones that are on the bundled wires) and add some heat from a sigarette lighter. After that, slip the final piece of tube over it and heat.
Step 9: Install on the joined pairs your batteries, and your halo on the other end.
        Step 10: enjoy

I hope this makes sense, my english is good, but i still have trouble with technical english. You will need some soldering skills to pull this one off, but with a clean soldering iron aproximatly 25 watts everybody should be able to make one.

Or you can just solder a second connector on and call it done.

Two 9 volt batteries do rattle in the housing so put a piece of foam in to cushion them.

2 9 volts will not last as long in your Halo as the AA pack. It sucks the life out of those batteries VERY fast, something we learned in our HALO tech class provided by NPS last January. Also stay away from the Shocktech kits for these guns, the cones & knobs heavier than stock. If you feel the need to replace your cone, try the S4 kit.

Or you could get a pulse :P Better battery life than the halo.

Or you could try something like THE BONE pack. Supposedly great battery life and increases performance, etc. Never tried it, just passing along what I know.

/You'd think for $4, he'd at least solder and heatshrink it, not just electrical tape.

Alkalines yes, try 9volt lithiums instead. Long life, very light, and if you get them online, about the same cost as alkaline 9 volts in the store.
