How do you make the trigger pull softer/lighter?

How do you do a trigger job, and what does it consist of?
I don't really want to pay for a shop to do one.

Do a search on the Tech Forum... I think there was a guy a month or so back that was talking about his homemade 'triggerjob'. You risk throwing off the timing on the on/off pin, but may get some results. I have made an adjustable trigger overtravel for my benchy 2x frame with a simple screw and cap nut. It didn't make it any softer, but cut my trigger pull in about half.
