    Asa eating O rings Tac-One??

Just got my new tac one, installed the ULT(super easy) played with it in my backyard for a while. LOVIN IT!!
but by the end of the night id gone through 3 o rings already, the one on my tank keeps getting pinched or cut when i screw on the tank.
do i need one on the tank?
or should i just drop one in the ASA?
    Or something else?

The tank should only have one o-ring on the valve. Have you tried putting a drop of oil on the o-ring before screwing on the ASA. Maybe that will keep it from pinched. If it is getting cut, maybe there is a sharp edge in the ASA that needs to be removed.

I tend to have that happen to me from time to time for a couple of reasons.

      1. I will unscrew my tank only a few turns in order to cut off the air supply. This causes my tank to rock in the asa and create abrasions on my orings. (self made on-off)

      2. The asa threads are a little sharp. This can be fixed with a drop of oil.

      3. Also, the purchase of cheap orings could be the problem. I find that the black orings tend to break easier then the clear ones. Still a little oil on the threads can help this problem.

      4. Poor instalation of the air supply to the marker. Yeah, I know, but it is a factor.

Iv checked the threads, nothing sharp, theres plently of oil on it. I dont buy the black O rings. and it seems to happen no matter how carefully i install the tank, thats why im confused

Anytime you unscrew a pressurized tank the o-ring will tend to nick. Try to fire your marker when unscrewing it. The best solution is to get an ASA with a bleed valve, which allows the gas to depressurize before unscrewing your tank.

its when i screw it in that it cuts it, iv tried diffirent sizes of orings. i think ill just deal with it untill i get a remote line, or get a new asa like you said with a bleed off. maybe its just the shape of the asa inside vs the tank i have that dont mix perfectly

              O-ringies

Turn tank until air begins to leak out ASA, wait for it. when air stops continue unscrewing tank.

If you are using CO2, you may still cut the o-ring unless you get TEFLON/PTFE O-rings, not the PolyPro o-rings that everyone uses these days. Teflon O-rings last a long long time, and they do not swell from the CO2/pressure.

I think these are O-ring specs for a tank:

              -15 ID 9/16" OD 11/16" WIDTH 1/16"

Could be that the activation pin is to long. You could grind a little off at a time, but a bleed on/off will be the best way to go.

just unscrew it while shooting slow...and when it doesn't shoot, you've turned the tank out far enough to bleed the rest of...its quite simple..

Iv told you guys its not when i unscrew the tank its when i put it on, it will start leaking right away, when i take the tank off it looks like it got pinched between the sides on the tank valve and the asa

                        Simple solution:

Put a 2nd tank o-ring down in the ASA. It will seal the face of the tank as you screw it in.

                        Best solution:

Buy a new CP on/off ASA. Its the best around, has a bleed off, and will solve your issue.
