    Minimag Valve Problems !

A couple days ago I was taking my minimag apart to oil and clean it and when I took the valve out all of the parts by the on/off pin flew out, I found them all and placed them back in like it looked according to the owners manual and put a tank on to see if it works and it just pops out and leaks. Someone please help I just bought this gun I exspect better!

Works great till you take it apart...

Firstly, this would have been better put in the Tech Forum.

Secondly, Did it come with a manual and video? That should have dis-assembly and re-assembly instructions.

Unless it had a problem to begin with, all you should need to do is put a couple drops of oil in the air inlet and dry fire it 40 times. If you don't have the video, look on the AGD Online Store, under spare parts, you will find an exploded view of the valve. That should help you put it back together properly.

The most common problem when people take apart their on/off assy. is that they put the on/off pin in backwards. So look on the valve and make sure the notch is in the correct position. Let us know if you figure it out.

        O rings

Check to see if your missing any O-Rings from the on/off assembly, if your not sure what your looking for check on the AGD site they have a blow up picture of the valve this should help you identify any missing parts.

                Probally a stupid question

This may be a stupid question but you have the valve inside the body correct? only reason i ask is cause you would not notice it popping out unless you could visually see it when you gassed up your gun.

DO NOT HOOK UP YOUR TANK AGAIN, STOP!

You must re-assemble your gun BEFORE you attach the tank. The valve is working as designed, the BODY keeps the on/off assembly inside the valve!

Hope you didn't lose any parts!

Yea man, what are you doing?? Just put the valve back in, and screw it in. Then put your tank on and see if it leaks, something like this happened to me but when i put the pieces back in my trigger wouldnt work. Luckily i was able to fix it properly and got it to work again, i should look at the picture of the valve and see what i messed up in the first place.

Ne way, try that, and if it dont work, ask your local shop

I have reasembled the on off parts correctly according to the blow up picture of that part, and i put it back in where it goes and when i put the whole valve back in the gun and put on my tank it cocks then starts leaking
ok heres what i belive is the problem when it pressureizes the on off bottom (stainless) as in the blow up picture pops up and the o ring gets exposed which mean it doesnt seal, which concludes its leaking, i cannot figure out how to keep it down???
