YEAH, Another MICRO - Xvalve thread...

Well, first I would like to say that I am a proud owner of a micromag, but we all know how they sometimes have issues with valves, specifically the X-valve, as mine does. Anyways, I bought the MM with the stock valve and that works fine. I also have an X-valve with ULT. I have done some research and found that X-Valves do sometimes work in MM's. I think the ULT is what's the problem as far as compatability in my MM. I found that with 2 shims, it goes FULL auto. And with one, well, only one shot and no more. You know, AGD should make .005 shims or .002 for ultimate tuning. That could help us MM owners. Now that you know the story, what I would like to know is whether my MM will take the X-valve I have with the ULT, with your input on whether it works or how to make it work. I would really appreciate any inputs...

The thickness of the shims won't cause the differences that you describe. Differences caused by a piece of dirt will. Take your ULT apart and clean it and try it again.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
