Can some one tell me What pressure I should set my regulator at for best performance on a minimag Eclipse. I just bought it used. It has a level 10 kit I need to install, and I'm using HPA.

if your talking about an adjustable pressure air tank then 900. If your talking about a gas thru reg then take it off. Mags like high pressure. Anything above 700

I just spoke to a local field owner who used to have an automag and he recomends 400 to 550. Any input?

uhmmm the higher the input pressure the better. Mags love high pressure. 550psi would probably border on choking the mag and can possibly cause shootdown. The mag regulates itself to abour 400psi. I would recommend as high as you can go. I don't think your field owner uses a mag if he's recommending those settings. This is if you have an adjustable tank. Are you putting a reg on the foregrip? The automag doesn't need one. If you are you're triple regulating and will choke the gun.

I would not reccomend those numbers. 800 PSI give or take a hundred is pretty good real estate.

mag valves are rated for 3000 psi. the highiest the faster the valve cycles. AGD recommend 600-900. i use a crossfire HP tank that gives out about 800-850 ish. thats what i use and no problem for me

I have a "Pure Energy" 88 cubic inch, 5000 PSI carbonfiber wrapped tank from DYE but I dont know what pressure it is pre-set for . I have a 0-1200 psi gauge on back order, I'll see then I guess.
