    Automag RT Pro

Hello all. I am in need of some help. I have an Automag RT Pro. With the standard issued barrel, nothing fancy about it. As you look down the barrel as if you were shooting it, it feeds on the right side. My apologies, I am trying to tell you all the information I can think of. Ok here is where I need help...............what in the world makes the Response trigger, go responsive? I am not sure but I have (2) guages, one of course for the pressure in the tank, and the other one I am assuming as the reg.....................what pressure should that be set at? Bottomline, What can I do to make the Reponse trigger, respond faster and better?

Its like shooting a semi right now. Any help anyone could offer will be much appreciated. I have sort of migrated towards my Angel, but miss the Mag.................

you may email me at [email protected]
    With all due respects
    thank you

The only thing you need to remember is that doing what everyone, including myself, is about to tell you will NOT be tourney legal. Thats it.

Take the bottle you have on your gun (adjustable) and put the input pressure to 900+. Thats it. Some valves take more,.. some take less. This is a pressure to START at. Putting 1000psi into it will bounce very fast, very hard, and very quick.

Next,... look into a ULT kit. This decreases the pressure required to make the gun fire from the trigger. For most it is the god send of walking a trigger,... for some that like to bounce the trigger hard it takes the bounce away. At any rate,... itsa good thing to have.

Im going to assume you have a Level 10 bolt installed. If you want more speed,... level 7 is the way to go,.. but you will loose the anti-chop feature. I would stick with the Level 10.

**You can get a preset to bounce,.. but it will not keep up past 10-15 shots TOPS,.. and you will chop at some point.**

Hope you have a fast loader. HALO, EMPIRE, PULSE, QLOADER) if you dont have one of these,... STOP! Go get one,.. then continue to try this out.

I bounce my E-Mag all the time,... with a Warp Feed and a Revy. I cap it at 14-16bps and Im fine. Your going to need a good loader, fresh batteries (and good ones), and finally,... PRACTICE!

Getting the mag to bounce is not hard,.. its getting it to do it on the first pull, comming out of a bunker, and ripping a whole loader that takes time to do. Get some air,.... and just dry fire the gun till you get it down. Then apply paint and rip away!!!

Here is a video of your setup R/T Pro going reactive and the ability to control the ROF by pressure of your fingers. If you can do this,... your already ahead of the game.

    Good Luck!

          More problems............

Another problem has risen from the depths of Davy Jones - - messing with me before I deploy again - - I took my Automag RT Pro HPA tank to the local scuba shop, actually I handed him 3 tanks. I told him the pressures of each..........so when I got home the tank pressure for my RT was 4ooo psi, its a 3000 psi tank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I thought maybe I could shoot down the pressure, nope now the gun leaks from what I assume to be an overpressure hole on the left side of the gun as if you had it shouldered...........the tank pressure is now below 3ooo psi, but still leaking. What can I do? I have field stripped the marker a thousand times and cleaned everything and replaced o-rings, still leaking from that hole..............PLEASE HELP......

Also I do not have a level 10, where can I get one? I am normally an Angel or A-5 shooter, my son plays with this marker...............again PLease help..........

          with all due respect

            Okay,. first things first,....

Take the tank and drain it.
Then take the tank to a shop that can hydrotest the tanks and can look at your regulator.
            Where is it leaking from?
Get a new fill nipple for the regulator and trash the old one.

The reason I am saying this is,.. that tank was pushed beyond the reccomended pressure for the regulator. The tanks are tested beyond the pressure they are rated to hold,.. but the regulators are a sensative and DANGEROUS piece to mess with. Play it safe and get the thing looked at,.... you never know what could happen the next time you go to fill it.

            Is the gun leaking too?

Send your gun to one of these guys,.... you really need to have someone look at it for you.
            Tuna
Rogue (his web page is down for a while but hes on here all the time)
            AGD Repair Center

Its worth the money to have someone check it out for you. I have sent my guns into AGD before, they can fix whatever you need.

Tuna and Rogue both have excellent reputations for their work on here witrh Mags. They reffer work to one another as well, so you gun will get fixed. I have not sent my gun to either one yet,.. but look at their feed back and make your own decision,... they stand behind their work.

Level 10 can be purchased from Tunamart, the Mag Smith, or AGD (links provided)

go to page 5 and read about the blow off valve .... you may need a new reg piston if this is the case.

First read page 5 in the manula like Coralis stated, then try this one. I am assuming that you bought the X-Valve new,.. and in AGD shipped it to you BRAND NEW.

Calling AGD tech support will yield this answer,.. so save yourself some time if you are not going to send the gun off and do the following.

Go to AGD store and buy the X-Valve parts kit and the RT O-Ring replacement Kit

You can get away with just buying the X-Valve replacement kit but its nice to have both in case that you need the one part the other kit may have.

Once the kits are there,... take the valve apart like the diagram shows in the manual. Grease each part with AGD approved grease. Oil parts that need to be oiled. Gas up and start firing,....

X-Valves are made, put together, tested, then put away till they sell. That means that after a while, the o-rings warp, oils/grease settle, because according to the manual,... best results are found where the valve is oiled once a week (AGD can not possibly oil and maintain all the valves they stock every week! Thats just crazy!)

I know what your thinking,.. you bought this thing and it would work right off. Well,... like any gun,.. mags have needs. You getting a simple gun that rips,.. you need to take care of her. Buy bottles of oil, a nice big container of Dow 33 grease, and some parts kits, and your set. Clean the valve and oil her as reccomended and it will work beyond any gun you have ever owned.

Last thing is,..... you may need to dry fire that valve over a 1000 times. I have done a few valves and I usually take 3 tanks to get the valve and the leve 10 working PERFECTLY.

If you dont want to, or dont feel comfortable with this,.. jsut send the gun off and let someone fix it for you. Wont take too long to get it working!
