    How i did it

I polished my mini body with 9 differnet gits of sandpaper, i started with 1500 then 1800,2400,3200,3600,4000,6000,8000 and finishing it off with 12000. It has a pretty nice shine to it now. I used cushioned cloth backed Micro-mesh finishing paper it worked very well and only took me a few hours. I have yet to put some polishing compound on it, which i heard makes it shine more but im happy with the way it looks so i left it. Good luck = )

12000 grit sandpaper?? That exists? I know it goes as high as 2000. 12000 must feel like a piece of paper. A good polishing compound to use is Mother's Mag aluminum polish - can be found at any Wal-Mart in the automotive section.

          Soft

Yea, once you get to around 4000 it starts to feel more like suede than sandpaper its very soft but added shine and does not leave any of those small scratch marks you see if you use a tougher grit, its completely smooth finish not a single scratch mark on it. It has more of a satin look to it than the chrome look of the AGD polished bodies but i like it

maybe you know this part but the easyest way to get the gray finish off is a scotch bright pad do that before you wet sand and I suggest you use water if you have wet/dry paper scrub hard that finish will come right off
