    Double shooting.

Ok first off I am new to mags so bear with me. I searched and came up empty on this question.

So I just got a mag and am having problems with it. I gassed it up and it shot fine untill I turned the velocity screw up. This is when the problems start. It will do this most of the time. I will pull the trigger and it will shoot once, but when I release I can see the trigger pin getting stuck about half way for about a second. Then after about a second the trigger pin will snap back into place and it will fire one more shot so I am getting two shots per trigger pull. Is this a common problem? I am confused and cant figure this out. If you could help me out that would be great.

    In Christ.

First off, when you turned the velocity screw "up" which way did you turn it? Also, have you run some good airgun lube through the marker? A couple of drops (4-5) in the ASA and then air-up. With the barrel off, shoot it a couple of dozen times. That sometimes fixes most mag problems.

The gun is 1/8" of a game that is a FOOT long!

I turned the velocity up (clockwise) is that correct? I guess I will lube it some more and see what happens. Anyone else have any input.

What kind of trigger do you have? You could possibly have something called an autoresponse trigger which is designed to have 2 shots per pull, one when depressed and one on the release.

Just whatever comes stock with a 68 classic. It is not an auto response trigger. I really need some more help. Someone said the one/off pin might be sticking.

could be on/off, could be the trigger pin being tight against the trigger shoe... sounds to me like on/off problems. check the on/off o-rings and make sure they are clean and oiled. make sure the on/off pin is inserted correctly so that the flat smooth end is inserted first and the notched/rounded side is sticking out when you assemble the on/off. look at the pin itself ans make sure it is intact. get in touch with tunaman if nothing is working... he's one of the best source's for mag help.

Ok thanks I will do that. I did check the pin and all the orings. The top teflon oring is a little dented but I dont know if that would cause this problem.

              Anyone else?

              In Christ.

I would say dent=bad. That won't allow a good seal. Try replacing it.

Ok I noticed one other thing. When I hold the trigger down it will let out a puff of air every 2-3 seconds. This is weird but it is more information.

If I remember right that is the "Lawn Sprinkler" fault. (Some one help me out here) I think the fix is to replace the On/Off top o-ring. In your case, since it is used, I would replace all the o-rings in the On/Off assembley. LMK if that works for you.

Yep, sounds like the top on-off oring is bad.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
