Difference between RT and Non-RT Gripframe?

Okay I bought a used intelliframe. Before buying I asked if it would fit an RT classic. I was told yes, but when I got it, it didn't fit. But after looking at it it seems like to only difference is the hole in the back off the frame for the banjo bolt. Is that true? Is everything else the same?

That's the only difference i have noticed ... i ended up making a spacer to take up the space ... I had trouble getting my dye ss to fit because the hole for the twistlock was a little shallow and it pushed up the twistlock a little ...

I had no issues getting the other 2 barels to fit ... when i compared them, the start of the channels were different depths and the Dye was the thickest ...

but i was able to mount it and it did dry fire just fine ...

Guess you could do that ... an easier alternative is to make a spacer that goes around the stock AM/MM pin that is already there ... when i get home ill take a picture of what i made ... no need to drill if you don't have to ...

I didn't have to drill or modify anything on the gun ... i used plastic and cut it down till it fit over the pin but still in the hole

turbo I think his question is can a regular intelliframe be converted to a RT classic intelliframe. Im not sure where you were going with the barrel information.

If that is the question then yes. All you need to do is drill out the hole for the banjo bolt to the correct diameter. I am not sure what it is, but can measure mine tonight if you need me to.

Thanks for the replies... I did already drill out the hole, now I just need to tune it... But I think I am going to make a pnue-mag instead

there is one other difference but it doesnt apply to your situatuin so your all good. rt frames are thinner internally for some reason.
