    Emag Software...upgrade?

My Emag has v1.37 software. Is there an upgrade available from AGD or their agents? I have read that v3.2 software is installed in emags.

I'm not looking for some afternarket upgrades...unless they work well AND are affordable. I've read some horror stories about money paid and product never delivered.

I believe you can have 3.2 flashed for 20 bucks. Tuna can do. Or you can get the x-mod software which is pretty amazing for around 100 dollars with the programmer, if you do this you can also stick 3.2 on your board as well.

      What does v3.2 do that v1.37 doesn't?

Where does one find x-mod software? (and more info about it)

If you buy the programmer you can actually download the different AGD software versions from the www.niedtech.com website as well as the xmod

you can also read more about the differences there as well

I run the 1.37 software on my original E-Mag I bought just because its ALWAYS worked and Im not screwing with it.

I have 3 other E-Mags (Micros) and 2 of them have the XMOD on them (I havent bought a 3rd programmer yet)

All I can say is that the XMOD is worth it. Not getting it is a mistake personally I believe. I waited a long time before following along and forking it over to Lorne Cash (XMOD developer)

Im kicking myself 5 times for every 1 day I waited to get it (yes, my but is VERY sore! )

          Seriously,... its worth every penny!

            X-Mags (software info)

            X Mod on ebay

Does the x mod work OK on a gun without the anti-chop eyes?

go to the address posted on the auction, read up on it first then if you wish, buy the product.

Just so you know,.. all 3 of my E-Mags dont have eyes.

All have E/X-Valves in them, Level 10 to boot.

ROF set to 18bps with Warps and B2s = ZERO chops!

Get it and dont look back!

Yes. 1 programmer can flash indefinitely. Of course they should be YOUR mags.

They can, but you should only flash 1 per gun. Ive got 2 programmers and 3 E-Mags,... one still has stock software on it.

As long as they are your personal guns, you would not be in violation of the software agreement if you only bought one programmer and flashed both.

I was taking it as the literal translation. Lorne said: "only flash your gun not your buddies guns"

I was taking "gun" as in just one of my guns.

                            Thats how I read it.

No worries. Lorne deserves the cash, imho, but by reading the license agreement he does say "gun or guns" so as long as you own the e's or x's in question, there shouldn't be an issue. I'm sure Lorne won't turn down the extra $
