Why is the rt so loud?

First off I would like to say, that the RT rulz! I used 2 month old paint that my classic was eating up, and my rt shot over 1000 rounds with only 5 breaks! I love this gun!
Now to the question. My classic mag was A LOT more quiet people sitting next to me had problems hearing my gun, since it sounded about as loud as a blow gun. My RT on the other hand sounds like a cannon, is there a barrel or something that would quiet this down? it really isn't that big of a deal, since the person I'm shooting at doesn't have a lot of time to react to the sound anyway. One more thing, How can I get it to run away? I wont be making it run away shooting paint, I just want to freak my friends out this weekend, sicne none of them have even seen an rt, I thought it might be fun to do =)

    Thanx again!

What type of barrel are you using? I believe the rule of thumb is, the less porting there is, the louder a marker will be.

Try using a barrel with a lot of porting, and that should minimize the noise; at least help in lowering it.

RT, Automag, they both sound the same. depends on what barrel your using and how high velocity you have.

I tried the J&J that I had on my classic, and their seems to be no noise difference at all. I havn't had a chance to chrono the RT though (I ran through over 1100 rounds practicing with it and didn't have any paint left to chrono), I'll try that this weekend and see what happens. Oh and where can I get a micro gauge to put on my rt, I just polished the mainbody, and I think that a gauge will look cool on the gun. Thanx for the help guys!

If you really want to rip the trigger, turn your input pressure up really high.
