Having problem with adjusting the velocity

Hi, i just got a new automag with X-Valve with LvL 10 and ULT. I m having problem with adjusting the velocity (this is the first time i m adjusting it and first time shooting paint through it). I tried using the manual method with the fire-hold-release-and fire again as fast as you can. When i do this my velocity greatly increase. I shot it five time and i had velocity of 201,230,256,281,303 which is a huge range. When i fire normally i can't seem to get the consistancy if would range from 220-280. Thanks for taking the time to hear me out and helping me out

    Cheers

Make sure that you are using the largest Lvl 10 carrier that does not leak.

The brass spring gives you the most range of velocity, but I have found the red spring is the best in almost all cases.

Apply a good quality airgun oil to the marker. I highly recommend KC Trouble Free. I think that the new AGD markers come with Gold Cup, which is fairly good.

If it is brand new, I would run out a full tank dry firing it to make sure everything has broken in some prior to setting the velocity.
