    Low Velocity

I just put a level 10 in my minimag. Original spring, correct fitting carier, and 2 shims. In order to fire and have the bolt return the velocity adjuster had to be screwed all the way and after the first shot air would vent out the small hole in the velocity adjuster. Some one suggested installing a new regulator piston so I did. It no longer vents out of the velocity adjuster BUT even with velocity screw tightened all the way, I can only get 230 fps. Raippid shooting also causes the velocity to drop off (although this may be a seperate issue). I use an 88/5000 pure energy with 1000 psi measured output. 2000 psi left in the tank while I was trying to crono. Any ideas? Any one? Please! HELP!!!

Change the original bolt spring with a new one, especially if it is a few years old. Give your valve a good cleaning. Change the regulator seat oring.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
