I have recently (finally!) become the owner of an automag. I purchased a brand new automag 68 that was built as a "field rental", and I have a couple of questions regarding it.
1. The words "Field Rental" are stamped across the A.I.R. valve, and the serial number is FG38776. Is there anything different or unusual that I need to be aware of for this valve? Is this valve compatible with the level 10 kit?
2. The mag was sold as having a non-field removable barrel. In order to remove the barrel I had to loosen/remove the grip frame screw. If it was solidly locked down it seemed that the barrel lock nub might be a little too tall. Other than that it seemed to look like any other mag barrel. Just wondering if the brass barrel lock nub (not really sure what its called?) is different on the rental guns, and if I need to get a new one to have fully interchangable barrels or if I can just file this one down a hair so it works okay? I did put a minimag body on this, and it seemed to swap out just fine, but I still cant change the barrels without unscrewing the trigger frame.
Thanks in advance for any info on this!
