    regulator on automag

New to automags, paintball in general. Have level7 mag running N2 and was wondering if having a regulator is a good thing on automag since it has a built in regulator?
Purchased the superbolt from agd w/ New power feed plug and was wondering if the up grades for regulator, i.e. ans phaseII, or hurricane reg is worth the money spent say they increase recycle time? thanks for replys...

Good news...or bad news, depending on how you look at it. Good news in that you don't have to buy any of those 'upgrades'. Bad news in that you can't really 'customize' the mechanical bits your Mag and make it better like you can a Cocker/Spyder/Angel/etc since the stock parts are the best parts.

Adding an additional regulator to your Mag would be a waste of $$ and possibly starve your gun as you'd be triple regulating it (one reg on your N2 tank, the reg that you might buy, and the reg built into the AIR valve).

ANS/Hurricane/whatever reg bodies, on/off assemblies, and bolts are a waste of $$. They tend to be out of spec which can cause problems. If not right away, then down the road. So save your $$ and buy a retro valve ( http://www.airgun.com/Retro.html )if you want to upgrade your valve.

If you already have purchased a Super Bolt, the only other upgrades that would be worth the money would be a Retro valve, another barrel (like a Freak), a Revvy (if you don't have one) and a Warp.

And, like Gunga said, triple regulating a gun is bad, no matter what gun it is.

Plus, I don't want to see a bunch of stupid people running around the field with all sorts of bad info.
