the bolt 'sticks' forward (doesnt go back to resting position) when the gun is shot, releasing oodles and oodles of gas.
okay so maybe not oodles and oodles, it just doesnt cycle back

So how do you fix that?

This seems to happen to me when the gun gets low on gas is that normal?

Bolt stick can occur, preventing forward cycling of the bolt as well. In this case it won't necessarily cause leaking if the vent hole is not exposed. Bolt stick shouldn't occur, even with a low tank. Chuffing can occur with a low tank. Bolt stick is almost always caused because the carrier size is too small and it causes the powertube oring to bind on the bolt stem.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Automags do wierd things when they get low on gas. It will stick because the sear won't go into the proper place and catch the bolt because there wouldn't be enough pressure pushing the on off pin into the top of the sear. Never go bellow about 900psi in your tank.

You fix bolt stick by either using a squeegy to push the bolt back into place (not ususally possible since there will be a ball in the way. Or bytaking your tank off and screwing it back on again (just make sure not to chop the oring on your tank).

Bolt stick also happens if you short stroke the gun.

To help prevent bolt stick really lube up your bolt between the bolt and spring and bolt and powertube.

It also seems to happen if you have the thumbscrew thing tightened too much.

Yes, the sear won't reset properly when the gas pressure is low, but if the carrier is sized properly, the bolt will always return to the back position due to the spring force being greater than the empty chamber pressure force. If low gas, is causing a bolt stick phenomenon, then there is usually an issue with the on-off not sealing properly in low pressure situations or there is an issue with the carrier size.
