A brief stroll through the museum will help: http://www.airgun.com/museum/Gallerys.htm
But the sum it up a little, all mags basically function the same. Your only real difference is in the body and valve. The classic and 68 valve could reliably be run on co2, whereas the rt, rt pro, emag, emax, and x valves don't handle co2 very well (like almost not at all), and the original rt valve was not interchangeable with any other valve. All older mag bodies use a twistlock barrel, where the ULE, tac, and xmag bodies use cocker thread.
All of the upgrades are interchangeable with all but four of the markers, the original rt, the emag, the xmag and the sydarm all have some unique parts that prevent them from being entirely interchangeable. Also agd doesn't recomment putting the ule trigger kit in a classic or 68 valve, as they often don't work very well together.
