    Rebuilding a Flatline

When filling my 3k Flatline, the gun would pressurize even with the on/off lever switched to the OFF position. This encouraged me to rebuild it. It is around 7 years old, and the bottle's be hydro'd twice now...

Anyways, all went well. I used the AGD supplied rebuild kit. I did notice a bit of rust under the on/off lever. Fresh O rings, a bit of autolube, and all is well.

...and I forgot to add that the fill nipple DID NOT have a c-clip in it to retain the fill valve. There was no groove cut in it for one, either. This means the valve "slams"into the bottom of the threads (the aluminum reg body) and has galled it up considerably.

Did you put the fill valve back as it was, or change it out?

Change it out to what? Where/who has the c-clip retained fill valves? Not AGD!?

Do you have a Flatline? What style fill valve does it have?

I have a flatline 3k, with a check type quick disconnect nipple fill. I have seen some new ones for sale on various web sites (air soldier?, airgun designs?). I have not taken it out though, so I am not familiar with the c-clip. When you get it filled, they must be slamming the air in there if it's galled up so bad.
