    Inconsistant?

So normally my mag is super consistant. I was playing with it today and got it to the chrono and the first shot was fine, but the second shot was strangely low. It went from 240 to 215. I haven't seen that before. It did it a couple other times, but not as extreme. What would cause such a velocity varriation?

did you check your reg seat o-ring? if that is dirty it can lead to velocity problems.

        We could start a list...

        0) dirty reg seat
        1) poor paint quality (age, storage, or manufacturer)
        2) too much oil (in the barrel)
        3) not enough oil in the power tube
        4) not enough oil on the reg piston
        5) poor air supply pressure/flow
        6) level 10 with a new oring

        Who's next?

After doing a bit of looking around, I think I may have 0, 3 or 4. Also could be that I need a new reg seat. Thanks for more ideas!

If it shoots, then it probably isn't lack of oil. It is most likely a piece of dirt in the regulator or a bad regulator seat oring. Give it a good cleaning and change the regulator seat oring.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
