    Steel braided length?

For you guys that run from an ASA directly on the bottom of the grip frame up to the valve, what length line are you running to get a nice route/arc in front of the trigger guard?

    13 inch works really nice.

I also recommend using a quick disconnect. Kinda like this pic, only his quick disconnect is shown in the front. Put yours in the back by the valve so you can slide the valve out easily and oil it up.

Thanks Finn. Yep, I run QD's already just starting the migration from CO2 vertically off a vertical ASA to HPA from an ASA on the bottom of the trigger frame.

If you use the "best stuff" it can easily cost ~$50 to plumb it up

          2 - 90* fittings, $6 each
          13" SS hose, $15
          female QD, $14
          male QD, $8

ASA = air system adapter. it's where you screw you air supply in, be it Co2 or a removable HPA tank.

            Russ,

Nice set-up. That is almost exactly how I run my ASA on my Mag, and it's lasted me 12 years. I love being able to slide the valve right out and disconnect it entirely from the gun.

Long ago, I had a quick disconnect that was at the valve (vice at the ASA). Once, I had apparently not gotten it to fully click into place. When I turned on my air source, the quick disconnect popped and the hose slapped around. That was painful for my hand and left some good welts.

Since then, I put my QD at the ASA. If I manage to not fully engage the QD, the hose will pop off and then air will vent out of the male side of the QD. It avoids having a length of stainless steel hose slapping around. I have done this once in the years since and it just startled me when the hose popped.

Yes, not fully engaging a quick disconnect is a stupid mistake. Still, sooner or later, I think that I will make it again.

Funny you should mention that...That's how I had my markers set up until recently. In my case, it was so the QD wouldn't scratch up the mainbodies
