    RT Classic leaking issues

I have a RT Classic and it's been a long time since I've played with it. What is the optimum input pressure for the RT Classic and also, when I hold down the trigger, the gun leaks with a "putt-putt" sound, as if something isn't sealing correctly. I've changed out all the old o-rings with the parts kit, but this is the only issue with the gun. Other than that, it shoots fine.

I haven't taken the trigger down but it sounds like it's something in the on/off that's not sealing correctly.

    Did you try lubing it?

It sounds like the regulator isn't sealing and is still filling the valve even if the on/off is pushed up.

    Where exactly is it leaking?

I dropped a couple of drops of oil into the gas through grip and fired it a bunch of times. Have never broken down the reg to re-lube. Should I just keep blowing oil through the gun and see what happens?

Can't really tell where it's leaking, but my guess is that if I'm holding down the trigger and it leaks in small spurts, then it may have something to do with the on/off.

I'll break it down again tonight.

What is the optimum input pressure for the gun? I have an adjustable air system on it.

Yes, if it does the lawn sprinkler effect (psst - psst - psst) when the trigger is held, it is most likely a bad oring in the on-off top (probably the small one). Replace the small on-off top oring and you should be fine. Optimum input pressure for a level 7 is anything above 650psi. The higher the better for trigger kick. If you are using a level 10, then the optimum input pressure is over 750 psi.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Cool, thanks. Exactly the answer I was looking for.
