    New gun, whatdoIhave?

Back ground: picked up a clasic mag from a guy who needed to make ends meet for his weekly... I have allways had a problem with the gun freezing with a anti siphon tank(from full to empty) CO2, I am going to get a regular tank and try that on my back with a remote but I will be expecting problems. is there any way to get around the co2 probs? I have an expantion chamber ( I think, its huge so it cant be a flow through grip I wouldn't think) I dont know how to tell there is no name or model on the grip but is is big, how do I tell? (Painted black and white.) its a couple inches longer than my 45 grip... I wish I had a pic, I think its an expantion chamber but I have no way of being sure, is there a site to learn these things? My agd must be old, It looks home built and wants to sooot...
I just need to keep it from freezing.

was the anti siphon put on the tank specifically for that mag? if not the anti siphon may actually be siphoning in liquid co2.

if you must use co2, I would suggest getting a palmer's stabilizer reg. otherwise get hpa.

To avoid CO2 problems, I used a remote line on my classic mag. I did this for about six months before I got the expansion chamber. I never had any problems with this set-up (except on really cold days.... like below freezing cold).

          I use a remote also.
I've shot my hyper framed micro in burst and hyper mode and it works great.
I've also shot my X valve on co2 with a remote and didn't freeze it up.

My guess is the antisiphon tube wasn't put in properly for that marker.
          (like bleach was saying)
          Have it checked out.

There should be some kind of mark on the tank to show where the anti siphon tube is.
I usually put my tubes where the rupture disk is, so I always know, plus I mark the tank to show that it is an anti siphon.
I have a couple of mags with expansion chambers and regular tanks. (ASA is slightly angled downward)
I never have problems with them freezing.
If you have the anti siphon in the wrong place (the bottom) then it won't take long for the expansion chamber to fill with liquid and next stop is the valve.

Does your chamber look something like this?

I'll add my vote for an unmatched anti-siphon installation.

The anti-siphon pickup MUST be at the highest point in the tank when it's screwed onto the marker as that's where there's a gas-pocket when filled.

If the tank is rotated so the pickup is dipped in liquid CO2, there is no way to stop liquid CO2 from entering the system and freezing it.

Take it to an airsmith and have the anti-syphon re-installed.
