    Level 10 O-Ring

As I look at the parts list and installation instructions shown here (http://www.automags.org/resource/level10/index.shtml)...

    Parts List:
    1. Backing washer
    2. Power tube o-ring
    3. Carrier O-ring
    4. Carrier
    5. Shims
    6. Power tube O-ring
    7. Power tube tip
    8. Superbolt
    9. Main spring

Are parts #2 and #6 the same? The o-ring that goes in the carrier is the same as the one that goes around the power tube tip? Is this right? It doesn't seem that the o-rings I have inside the carriers are large enough to fit over the power tube tip...

I seem to be going through a number of these o-rings lately (used as #2) and would like to order more, but I want to be sure I get the right product.
    I went like this :shooting:
He went like this :tard: then like this :wow: then like this
Now he shoots a Mag too...

I actually had the same question myself. JRingold, are you getting a leak down the barrel? If so does it stop when you hold the trigger down?

        They are different sizes.

What is happening with the #2s that you cannot fix with a smaller carrier?

            They are very different.
#2 fits inside the carrier and #6 fits over the outside of the powertube tip.

As was said, they are NOT the same.

I get very good life out of the LX power tube O rings. My only "concern" (if you want to call it that) is that I seem to be using only the very smallest carriers...

One of my Mags has the "1 ring" while the other has the "1 dot"

In 5+ years of LX use, I've never used a carrier bigger than 2 rings. It seems to me that the range of the carriers favors the "way too big" side. All the O rings I've ever used came from AGD or Tunaman.

That seems to be the issue I am having. Leaking down the barrel, or first shot shoot down with the smallest carrier installed. So I change out the o-ring, change the carrier, starting with the 2-line, then after about 500 shots, move down to 1.5, and it keeps progressing. It's early in the season so I think much of it is caused by storage, but I replaced three of them on Sunday during a scenario game and I had to hold the trigger all afternoon when I wasn't shooting, because I didn't have a chance to go change a carrier.

Or should I be thinking ULT and not Level 10 issues?

How many shims do you have in the level 10?

i am having the same problem..i actually got a new carrier and it worked fine for about 500 shots then started to leak again, no matter what size carrier i have leaks when the trigger is out, even with the smallest carrier, i get bolt stick, but when i gas it up i still get leaks...
i believe the problem is the ult orings, i am oging to change them all tomorrow

Carriers are simply for the purpose of sealing the bolt. Too big, and it leaks. To small, and it sticks. So the trick is to find the carrier that doesnt leak, and doesnt stick...the one that is juuuust right. There is no other magic to the carriers. That is their only purpose.
Is First shot shoot down the same? When I heep the trigger pulled, there is no leak and there is no issue. When I leave it, there is a little leak down the barrel. Could be that I have two separate issues, one with the ULT and one with the carrier size...

I only have two shims in the Level 10. I think I really need to just have some time to mess with it... I can't troubleshoot it in the house, as the wife gets angry at the sound it makes, and I can't get out to a field because the wife gets angry because I'm "hiding". Damned if I do and damned if I don't...

i have a pnuemag but im getting a bit of shootdown. everything looks good and i tuned it well. so im guessing its the used x valve i put in. i can get 15 bps with it,

Sounds to me like I need to get out to the field, get the right carrier and then see if there's something with the ULT...
