I've lost two on my remote lines QD in the last year. One was just me being an idiot though.

Adding a slide check is probably my best bet, because it sounds like everyone else has encountered the same thing I did: turning off the Flatline and venting the air between it and the valve is not possible with what is currently available. The best solution is the slide check to prevent blowing out the QD o-ring (which was my concern).

      Thanks all.

If AGD ever redesigns the Flatline, adding this type of functionality would be a welcome upgrade.

Having a slide check in my hand, I decided that I would not be using it. The smallest I could find was still rather large.

I think that I have found a solution. I happened across a description for a proconnect (also called a pro connect), which is a QD crossed with a slide check. A search on the forums here turn up some descriptions of them too. With one of those, I can bleed the air from the line to the valve and stop having to pop the line with 400 psi still in it. And they appear to be fairly small.

Hope to pick up one in the next few days. My, they are a bit expensive...

I would def go the proconnect route if you get the good quality ones there great to put on there. I got mine from tuna awhile back and he sold the good ones not the cheapo ones dono if he still dose, maybe he can shead more light on that.

I placed a pro connect on order. It should be in next week. Once it arrives and I can try it out, I will report back.

(Yes, I'll make sure to include pics.)
