    Tight barrel more gas?

    Hi All,

I'm only getting about 400 shots out of a Crossfire 47cu Nitrogen tank on my Automag with a Dye two piece ( which I think is a Boomstick ) and 32 degree paint and am wondering if this is an incompatibility issue.

I've found some great resources on barrel bore and paint size ( which will make ebay purchases much more informed )

    eg: http://www.paintballtimes.com/barrelsizes.htm

but nothing on 32 degree paint.

Is my theory correct though? If the paint is on the large size, the regulator has to be adjusted to use more gas to shoot to achieve 300fps?

Also, when you guys go out and buy barrels with the goal of getting a good variation for paint variation do you use the size charts like the one I liked to above?

    Thatnks

    Keith

That is around the right amount. I get appoximately 500 rounds out of my flatline 47/3000psi bottle.

          Huh,

I thought I could expect more like 800. I guess for scenario games I'll have to throw my 9oz CO2 tank in a spare pocket.

I'm VERY temped by the freak too. Anyone experience with it? I mean, I don't want to buy the ultimately configurable lousy barrel. Is it good? What lengths work well with the Automag.

you should average in the 400's for a 47/3000 HPA bottle. your boomstick isn't very gas efficient and thats why you don't get many shots. a tighter bore barrel will give you more shots because it uses less gas to push the ball out.
