On/Off two long or an O-ring problem?

So the problem is when I try to take the valve out it moves in and out a little bit but gets caught on something...

I investigate by taking off the trigger screw and the valve is still inside the body. I look closer and notice the on/off pin is sticking out and is holding it inside the body. I press the pin in with a pencil and the valve comes right out...

Why is the on/off valve sticking out?

    Thanks

Make sure you fire the last shot and then pull the trigger to push the pin in. Some valves hold residual air.

Also, pull the trigger once the marker is totaly de-gassed to push the on/off pin up before tring to slide the valve out.

Thats gotta be it! I normally do that, but with my new hopper I have been leaving the balls in the hopper while I take off the tank... causing me not to pull the trigger to de-gas...

        Thanks Tuna...

Thanks maglover728... de-gassing has to be the problem.
