    Problomatic ULT

I am still having problems with my ULT in my Emag valve. I've only been able to get it to fire with all six shims in it. Even with all 6 it chuffs lots. When I take one out and use five shims it fires once and than nothing happens (feels mushy). I put in the stock on/off and everything is fine. Just incase it matters I chronoed it at about 280FPS with the standard on/off before trying my ULT on/off again

Try some more shims. ULT shims are 0.005" . Level 10 shims are 0.010". Use a couple of level 10 shims to get back 4 ULT shims and keep adding 1 at a time to see what happens.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

I maxed the shims out at 6 because seven won't fit. I'll chrono it again and check. I'm wondering if it has something to do with that the lenght of the stock on/off pin is already short at .712 so is that a factor. Isn't the ULT on/off supposed to shorten the on/off but since this is shorter already maybe I'm running into problems. At least I can use my stock on/off for Sundays game.

I don't have a e-mag but my ule x-valve would do the same thing and the bolt would stick(every now and then). I added 1 shim to the L10 and so far both issues are gone. Hope this helps.

The emag on-off is quite short. but if there is tolerance issues somewhere, that is probably the reason it is working while your ULT is not. Is your trigger rod adjusted properly? Make sure there is a tiny gap between the back of the trigger and the front of the trigger rod when the trigger is forward and the gun is gassed up. If there is no gap, then that could cause your problem.

          - trigger rod adjustment
          - Make sure the rail bushing is in place.
          - body tight against the rail (check pim length/rail pim hole depth)

*note: pim is the threaded fastener on the bottom of the body
