X-Valve reg pin oring spacer

I was getting some 30 fps spread in velocity with my x-valve, so I took it apart and cleaned it up. To be fair, the paint had been pretty ugly, but it was time to check the reg anyway.

There is what feels like a plastic spacer between the two orings on the reg pin. It felt like it either had a crack or it was made like a split washer. I haven't had any other trouble with it.

I put it back in and it seems to work, but I haven't been able to chrony it yet.

Anyone know if that piece should be free of edges or cracks and if it would matter? I expected that it was just a little, smooth plastic washer.

There's a split in the spacer, it's ok. :)
