anybody up for a rt classic question?

I just bought an old rt classic, when aired up the air viciously leaks out of the little hole on the side of the valve and down the barrel.
    anybody?
all O rings seem to be present and in order. But one can never be sure if they have never dealt with an rt like this before so I am open to any suggestions. One thing I will state is that when I received the gun the power tube was empty of guts so I put a classic powertube oring in with a 22 spacer and a brass top with oring on it along with Lvl 7 bolt and a blue bumper.
any help would be most appreiciated.
    thanks
    John

Where's the hole that you speak of located on the valve? Shouldn't be too much goin on, could be two separate issues causing the leaks... no worries you'll get it sorted out soon.

It might be advisable to just go ahead and order a parts kit from agd or tuna and swap out all the orings etc. give it a fresh start. Depends on the last time (if ever) that it was done. Goodluck.

Edit: There's two holes on the side of the valve is it the fore or aft one?

Well if it was missing guts then you can either send it into AGD to get a rebuild or follow this video yourself http://www.brightcove.com/title.jsp?...nnel=294971770

Pay close attention to the part about the on/off assembly.

For now if you hold the trigger down does it still leak or do anything?

Other than the banjo bolt air fitting, the valve is exactly like an X-valve.
the little hole is a bleed between the two o-rings on the reg valve look closely at them for tears or cracks. the barrel leak may be cured when the reg quits venting..

this valve does not have a oring between the reg and valve other than the large one put past the threads, on the reg side that threads into the valve, (the other half).
