    battery gets HOT

I receintly bought a set of Emag lowers and set about charging the battery. Well after about 2 hours on the STOCK charger, the battery had become very hot to the touch and was still not indicating a complete charge. I dicsonnected the charger from the cig lighter in the car and removed the battery from the casing to let things cool. The battery functions fine yet, as I can tell, but as with every battery I have ever recharged, this one should not get this hot. Suggestions? Comments?

    Thanks for any help.

battery might be damaged, even though it works in the marker, check the float voltage of the battery. after a full charge it should be around 18v (i think)

Not for paintball. I have made batteries for remote controlled cars, communication gear, and medical equipment. I was a professional reverse engineer for a medical and military battery company.
