    Pro Classic on HPA

    Hi all,
    I got a Pro Classic lv10 ULE .. I usually run remote with Co2
    All works just fine ..
But I'm going to a site this weekend that only has HPA ..no Co2 !
The site guys say I can borrow an HPA tank ..they dont know anything about Mags
(never heard of them !!) ..I have no experience of HPA either !
They tell me they fill up to 3000psi, but can regulate to any pressure lower.

Anything I have to do or know about to use HPA ?

    Thanks

Only that your mag will be happy! :)

I've run mine on preset HPA tanks anywhere from 750 to 850 psi.

They will be renting heavy metal tanks that can take up to 3000 psi of pressure inside. Make sure that they give you one with a high pressure output regulator. The Automag prefers 800 psi or more coming from the regulator.

Most tanks regulate to 800psi to be compatible and interchangeable with CO2, especially since most inexpensive blowbalck guns require high pressure to operate properly. Mags love compressed air.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

There were some old discussions about the possibility of having to replace reg spring packs when converting to HPA from CO2. I have not known anyone to have done that and I did not have any problems on two older mags.

What is the deal on that?

The regulator piston assemblies in the back of the older mags got weak over time. Some had to be changed. HPA regulators just happened to exploit the weakened springs because they could sometimes have higher output pressures than CO2. Most never had a problem.

If you have an expansion chamber on the mag,(a lot of Co2 mags do)you won't need it for the HPA.

You'll never want to go back to CO2 afterwards.
